  So hard to find. So much construction. No ticket counter or signs where to buy it from. A piece of paper to list what movies were showing and this was out of date too. It sounds horrible but it wasn't because once you're in the theater with their new, huge, fancy, reclining seats it was all worth while. It was fantastic!!!

  Can I say how disgusted I was to show up at 7pm to watch a movie only to be told that cinemas are being refurbished and the only one available is the LUX cinema. Good one Hoyts, clever tactic to get more money out of your customers. A reduced rate of $32 doesn't cut it! How about offering at the regular rate and cutting your own losses? I was on my own and asked the manager to let me in at the regular rate and he gave some lame excuse that he can't alter the register!

  Average cinema. People sitting infront can block your view, but luckily I came at night so it was quite empty and I could switch seats.

  Booked the ticket and seat, went to watch the movie, however almost all sits were filled with people. The couple who were sitting in our booked sit refused to leave. Pretty sure it was filed with people who didn't pay. Got refund but the whole night was completely ruined.

  Decent cinema surrounded by nice restaurants and shops (so buy your snacks before you get in).. the theatres are often dated and the seats are uncomfortable but if you can get a cheap seat through the Hoyts - Optus deal then do it. Note there is a nice bar at the Hoyts so it's a good spot if you need a place to chill before your movie

  The discounted package that includes drinks and food is good though, about $20 for 2 persons, including drink and food.
